Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of cloud experience
• 2–3+ years of architecture experience
• Strong cloud security fundamentals and ability to establish security guardrails
• Experience working across AWS, GCP, and Azure environments
• Strong Azure experience, ideally with significant hands-on exposure over the last 3+ years
• Experience spinning up and securing new cloud environments
• Strong understanding of cloud cybersecurity, including IAM, network security, and cloud security architecture
• Ability to support and secure multi-cloud environments
• Strong network security background
• Experience working within a large enterprise/corporate environment
• Strong adaptability and communication skills
• Ability to effectively partner with both business stakeholders and IT teams
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with increasing workloads and shifting priorities

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Power generation / energy industry experience
• Experience supporting integrations following a merger or acquisition
• Experience with responsible AI and AI-related security considerations
• Experience building cloud resiliency

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Cloud Security Architect for a top enterprise power generation/energy client. This individual will join a team of architects supporting a growing portfolio of large-scale strategic initiatives, including cloud security maturation, multi-cloud integration, application integration, resiliency, and responsible AI. The ideal candidate brings strong foundational cloud security expertise across Azure, AWS, and GCP and understands how IAM, networking, cybersecurity controls, and security guardrails come together in a large enterprise environment. This person should be comfortable working strategically while remaining close enough to the technology to help design secure, scalable cloud environments. Strong adaptability and the ability to collaborate effectively across business and IT teams will be critical as the organization continues to grow and its initiatives increase in pace and complexity.

This is a 12-month contract and remote (potential quarterly travel to Kennett Square, PA).

Day-to-Day:

• Serve as a Cloud Security Architect supporting large-scale, strategic enterprise initiatives
• Partner with three other architects while helping address increased architecture demand
• Support cloud security strategy across Azure, AWS, and GCP
• Establish and mature security guardrails across cloud environments
• Help integrate cloud platforms from a cybersecurity perspective, with a focus on IAM, network security, resiliency, and foundational controls
• Support the creation and security of new cloud environments
• Help mature the organization’s multi-cloud security capabilities
• Support integration activities as the organization moves beyond end-user migration and begins focusing more heavily on application integration
• Partner with business and IT teams to design solutions that can scale with organizational growth
• Contribute to security considerations around responsible AI, identity, and emerging technology risks
• Support resiliency initiatives across the cloud environment
• Balance strategic architecture responsibilities with a growing portfolio of enterprise initiatives
