Job Description
One of Insight Global's clients is looking for a Modeling & Simulation Software Developer. The M&S Software Developer builds the core modeling and simulation software behind Space Domain Awareness (SDA) training and exercises for the U.S. Space Force. Day to day, this person writes production M&S code that simulates launch and orbital events, vehicle behavior and observation generation inside the ATLAS architecture. They'll work alongside experienced ATLAS engineers and physics SMEs to turn existing orbital event generation concepts into new code. They'll also containerize and modernize supporting tools so they fit into the ATLAS Test, Training and Exercise (TTX) system. Typical work includes event-generation workflows, ephemeris generation, state-vector conversion, predicted observations and step-by-step data ingestion. They'll support the full development lifecycle from design through integration and test.
