Required Skills & Experience
3-5+ years minimum hands-on experience programming and troubleshooting FANUC robots 3-5+ years minimum hands-on experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs, preferably Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Ability to independently troubleshoot automation issues involving robots, PLCs, I/O, sensors, networks, and electrical systems Experience with equipment startup, commissioning, debug, and/or production launch Experience working with automated equipment in a manufacturing environment Ability to read and troubleshoot electrical schematics and controls drawings Strong root-cause troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently on the plant floor Comfortable supporting a fast-paced automotive assembly / launch environment
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Nice to have: Previous General Motors or automotive OEM/Tier 1 experience
Job Description
We are looking for a Controls / Robotics Engineer to support launch execution within a high-volume automotive assembly plant. This person will be responsible for independently troubleshooting, programming, and supporting FANUC robots and PLC-controlled automation equipment. They will work hands-on with equipment during installation, startup, commissioning, and production launch to diagnose issues, make programming changes, and ensure automated systems are operating properly.
