Job Description

A government-supporting organization is seeking an RF/Software Test Engineer to support the verification and testing of an RF/FPGA-based system. This person will work closely with an FPGA engineer to help prove the system is operating as designed through test architecture setup, test execution, hardware configuration, and software-based control/automation. The engineer will work hands-on with RF laboratory equipment such as VNAs, oscilloscopes, and SDRs, configuring equipment in different test configurations and repeatedly executing tests to validate system performance. They will also use Python as the primary software language, with MATLAB and C++ as additional valuable skills, to develop and improve engineering/test capabilities. A portion of the work will involve taking the basic software setup currently being used to control the FPGA and improving/developing that capability further in Python or C++ so that others can operate it independently.
