Required Skills & Experience

8+ years of software, data, or platform engineering experience, including substantial experience with production systems. Palantir Foundry experience Strong Python and SQL skills with a solid understanding of modern software and data engineering practices. Experience designing and operating reliable, secure, testable, and maintainable enterprise platforms. Knowledge of automated testing, version control, CI/CD, observability, and production support. Demonstrated ability to make architecture decisions, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and lead delivery independently.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with enterprise application platforms and data-intensive workflows. Familiarity with ML integration, model lifecycle management, and production monitoring. Experience with data governance, auditability, access controls, and regulated or control-sensitive environments. Experience assuming ownership of an existing enterprise platform and improving its engineering maturity.

Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Technical Lead to own the architecture, reliability, and ongoing evolution of an enterprise platform built on Palantir Foundry. This role will transition an existing solution into sustainable internal ownership, strengthen engineering practices, and lead ongoing technical development within a small, cross-functional team. This is an individual-contributor leadership role rather than a purely managerial position. The Technical Lead will remain actively involved in architecture, design, implementation, technical reviews, and operational problem-solving. Own end-to-end technical architecture across data pipelines, platform services, application components, security, and deployment. Compensation: $80 - 100/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Assess existing implementations, identify technical debt, and establish priorities for reliability and maintainability. Establish engineering standards for code quality, automated testing, version control, deployment, monitoring, and incident management. Provide hands-on technical leadership across data engineering, application development, and model integration. Ensure platform reliability, data quality, lineage, access controls, and appropriate governance. Mentor engineers, conduct technical reviews, and establish clear ownership of critical components. Partner with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
