Job Description
An employer is looking for a Security Analyst to join their team remotely. This individual will be responsible for supporting a variety of security initiatives across the enterprise, with an initial focus on vulnerability remediation, security patching, and infrastructure hardening. On a day-to-day basis, you will review identified vulnerabilities and security findings, determine remediation priorities, and work hands-on to resolve issues across Windows, Linux, AWS, Kubernetes, and endpoint environments. You will partner with infrastructure, cloud, and engineering teams to ensure critical vulnerabilities are addressed in a timely manner and systems remain secure and properly configured.
You will also:
- Investigate and remediate vulnerabilities across servers, endpoints, cloud infrastructure, and Kubernetes environments
- Perform and support security patching, configuration changes, and system hardening
- Work within Windows and Linux environments, including using the Linux command line for troubleshooting and remediation
- Support security initiatives within AWS, including identifying and addressing cloud security risks and misconfigurations
- Assist with the security and remediation of Kubernetes/containerized environments
- Use Python and PowerShell scripting to automate repetitive security and remediation activities
- Support endpoint security and device management efforts using Microsoft Intune
- Help evaluate and adopt Agentic AI and other AI-based security tooling to improve automation, investigation, and security operations
