Job Description

An employer is looking for a QA Automation Engineer to sit remotely. You will primarily be tasked with developing, managing, and executing automated tests for the client home grown contract management applications. The team is currently modernizing many applications but needing continued support for testing efforts tied to these products. You will leverage new and existing tools (Playwright), while aiding them with enhancing the current automation footprint. Additional tasks will include: Test Automation and Continuous Quality

  • Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated tests using approved frameworks, coding standards, and reusable patterns.
  • Integrate automated quality checks into continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines where appropriate.
  • Evaluate Test automation candidates based on risk, repeatability, business value, maintainability, and return on effort.
  • Analyze automation failures, reduce test instability, and improve the reliability and maintainability of test assets.
  • Participate in code, test, and framework reviews and contribute to shared quality engineering standards. Test Execution and Defect Management
  • Execute manual and automated tests across applicable test phases and document results with clear, reproducible evidence.
  • Identify, document, triage, and track defects through resolution; collaborate with product and engineering partners to confirm severity, priority, and business impact.
  • Validate defect fixes, perform targeted functional regression testing, and communicate residual quality risks before release.
