REMOTE Fullstack Developer

Required Skills & Experience

3-5 Years of Experience in Fullstack development

Strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js for backend development

Experience developing and supporting APIs and microservices

Strong SQL/database experience, including query development, data modeling, and high-volume transactional applications

Experience working within backend-heavy environments, with approximately 90% of development focused on backend services and APIs

Experience independently owning portions of a product or system and completing development tickets with minimal oversight

Hands-on AWS experience, specifically with:

AWS Lambda Amazon EC2

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with Angular or modern frontend development

Ability to contribute across the full stack when needed

Experience with AI-assisted development tools, including tools such as Claude

Experience working in lending, financial services, or high-volume transactional platforms

Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer to be based remote in the US (Local to Lincoln NE or Madison WI is a plus!) to join a growing development organization.

This developer will work alongside existing development teams and take ownership of different portions of the company's backend product platform.

Although these engineers may contribute across the stack, the role is approximately 90% backend-focused, with the majority of development centered around TypeScript, Node.js, APIs, microservices, and SQL. The environment is highly API-driven, and engineers will be expected to independently own development work while collaborating closely with the broader team.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000
