Job Description
The Technical Architect will own the architecture and technical direction of an enterprise Digital Worker platform that uses AI agents throughout the software development lifecycle. This individual will transform approved architecture and build plans into a secure, scalable, and governed platform using Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Microsoft Foundry, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, and GitHub. The platform will enable AI agents to assist with requirements, specifications, code, testing, and reviews while maintaining appropriate human approvals and governance controls. The Technical Architect will establish architecture standards, maintain technical documentation, make and document key design decisions, and provide technical direction to a cross-functional engineering team. This individual will review designs and pull requests, oversee application onboarding, and support the ongoing development and management of the platform. The role will establish identity and least-privilege access controls for AI agents and implement safeguards against prompt injection and data leakage. This person will also develop risk-based approval processes, audit controls, evaluation gates, rollback capabilities, and resilient platform standards. The Technical Architect will support enterprise applications such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 and SAP while ensuring AI agents interact safely with systems of record. This role will serve as a system architect within a SAFe-aligned environment and participate in PI Planning and backlog development. The individual will evaluate technology and vendor capabilities while determining when existing solutions should be configured or specialized capabilities should be developed. Success requires hands-on technical expertise, strong architectural judgment, leadership skills, and the ability to communicate technical designs and risks to engineering, security, compliance, audit, and executive stakeholders.
