Regional Sr. Accountant

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a top Roofing Construciton client as a Regional Senior Accountant in its Southeast regional accounting organization in Sanford, FL. This is a highly visible, hands-on regional role supporting approximately 12 operating-unit locations and partnering closely with accounting professionals, business leaders, and the Regional Controller.

Unlike a purely transactional Senior Accountant position, this role has a broader regional focus. The Regional Senior Accountant will oversee and independently perform key accounting and month-end close activities, review financial information across operating units, investigate discrepancies, support financial analysis and forecasting, and provide accounting guidance to businesses throughout the region.

The successful candidate will bring strong progressive accounting experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to operate independently in an environment where different operating units may have varying processes. Construction or project-based accounting experience is valuable but not required. Tecta is prioritizing candidates with strong accounting fundamentals who can learn the construction-specific components of the business.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, with approximately 5–10 years preferred Strong month-end close experience Journal entry and account reconciliation experience Strong general ledger and financial reporting knowledge Financial analysis and forecasting experience Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis Strong ERP/accounting systems experience Ability to independently investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies Construction accounting experience Project-based accounting background Job costing WIP accounting Cost-to-complete analysis Over/under billing experience Experience within construction, manufacturing, distribution, services, or another multi-location/project-based environment Microsoft Dynamics experience Microsoft Business Central experience CPA or CMA
