Refrigeration Technician

Job Description

Insight Global's client is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to support commercial and industrial customers throughout the Richmond area. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration and HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and rooftop units. The ideal candidate is hands-on, strong with controls and diagnostics, and comfortable working independently in the field while delivering high-quality service to customers.

Skills and Requirements

10+ years of experience servicing commercial or industrial equipment Experience working with chillers, boilers, cooling towers, rooftop units, and refrigeration equipment EPA Certification Strong troubleshooting experience with electrical, mechanical, and controls-related issues Experience working with VFDs, PLCs, and/or building automation systems Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites throughout the region Siemens Certification Experience with building automation or control systems Previous experience in a commercial service technician role Leadership or mentoring experience supporting junior technicians
