Job Description
A large healthcare system is seeking an experienced IT Technical Project Manager for a six-month engagement supporting its Radiation Oncology division. This individual will provide dedicated project leadership across multiple concurrent technical initiatives involving Radiation Oncology applications, infrastructure, integrations, and the organization’s transition to Microsoft Azure.
This role requires a combination of strong technical project management experience and hands-on knowledge of Radiation Oncology technology environments. The ideal candidate will have direct experience working with Radiation Oncology platforms such as Varian ARIA, Eclipse, Elekta MOSAIQ, MIM, Brainlab, or similar systems, and understand how these applications interact with infrastructure, integrations, servers, databases, networking, and other clinical technologies.
This person must be technically credible enough to actively participate in technical discussions, understand system dependencies, identify risks, and drive issues to resolution while also owning project plans, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication.
Azure experience is beneficial but not required. The priority is finding someone who brings both strong Radiation Oncology technical knowledge and proven technical project management experience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead multiple concurrent technical projects supporting Radiation Oncology applications and technology. Manage projects involving Radiation Oncology platforms such as Varian ARIA/Eclipse, Elekta MOSAIQ, MIM, Brainlab, and other connected clinical systems. Coordinate technical workstreams involving application implementations, upgrades, migrations, integrations, infrastructure changes, and the transition of Radiation Oncology systems to Microsoft Azure. Own project plans, timelines, deliverables, dependencies, risks, issues, and stakeholder communication from initiation through go-live. Partner closely with Radiation Oncology clinical stakeholders, application teams, engineers, architects, infrastructure, networking, security, cloud teams, and third-party vendors. Understand technical dependencies across applications, servers, databases, integrations, networking, and infrastructure. Participate in technical discussions involving application connectivity, integrations, DICOM, HL7, infrastructure, and connected Radiation Oncology systems. Identify technical risks and dependencies and coordinate the appropriate teams to drive issues through resolution. Lead testing, implementation, go-live, and post-production activities across technical and clinical teams. Manage vendor activities and maintain accountability across multiple technical workstreams. Provide clear project status reporting to technical stakeholders and leadership.
