Job Description
Insight Global is looking for an Engineering Project Coordinator / Project Manager to support Shell's midstream / downstream operations. This individual will help manage a high-level project roadmap involving multiple projects, checkpoints, deliverables, and stakeholders. They will be responsible for keeping projects organized, following up on outstanding items, and ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks. This person will work across multiple engineering disciplines, including electrical, automation, piping, and mechanical. They do not need to be a technical expert in every discipline, but they need to be comfortable working with technical teams, understanding engineering documentation, and coordinating information between multiple stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a combination of project coordination, document management, and AutoCAD experience. They need to be comfortable reading redlined engineering drawings, coordinating drawing updates, tracking documentation, and following projects through completion. This is a junior-level opportunity, so the hiring manager is looking for someone who is gritty, proactive, organized, willing to learn, and comfortable chasing down loose ends rather than someone who already knows everything. Oil & gas experience is strongly preferred but is not required.
This person will be responsible for:
- Manage and maintain high-level project roadmaps with multiple checkpoints and deliverables
- Track project milestones, action items, documentation, and outstanding deliverables
- Proactively follow up with stakeholders to ensure open items are completed
- Coordinate between multiple engineering disciplines, including electrical, automation, piping, and mechanical
- Review and interpret redlined / marked-up engineering drawings
- Support engineering drawing revisions and updates using AutoCAD
- Maintain and organize project and engineering documentation
- Ensure drawing revisions, documentation, and project information remain accurate and up to date
- Coordinate information and deliverables across multiple projects and stakeholders
- Identify missing information or potential gaps before they impact project execution
- Communicate with and coordinate anywhere from 3–30 stakeholders depending on the project
- Take ownership of loose ends and ensure nothing falls through the cracks
- Support project managers, engineers, and other technical personnel as needed
