Process Engineer

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of Process Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment B.S./B.A. in Engineering such as Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering Hands-on experience identifying manufacturing/production problems and driving root cause analysis and process improvement Strong Excel capabilities, ideally including pivot tables and working with/programming data in Excel Resume should demonstrate measurable impact, such as yield improvements, cost savings, efficiency gains, scrap reduction, throughput increases, or other quantified process improvements

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Connector industry experience Soldering, board processing, or electronics manufacturing experience Minitab experience Power BI SolidWorks or other engineering/design software Six Sigma/DMAIC, DOE, statistical process analysis, or structured problem-solving experience IPC certification Previous leadership experience is valuable, but not required Injection molding experience can be relevant, but the team is interested in candidates with broader process/manufacturing backgrounds as well

Job Description

The Process Engineer will support manufacturing operations by identifying production issues, analyzing process and manufacturing data, determining root causes, and implementing improvements that positively impact quality, yield, efficiency, cost, and overall production performance. This individual will work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Engineering Technicians, Test Engineering, and Operations. The role requires someone who can get close to the production process, understand how and why problems are occurring, access and interpret critical operational data, and translate that information into practical process improvements. This is a direct placement, full-time opportunity with an employee-focused company in the New Albany, IN area. This is an onsite role with opportunity for advancement, training, and promotion within the company.
