Required Skills & Experience
- 8–10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in enterprise SaaS, including Principal, Staff, or Lead Engineer-level experience
- Deep full-stack expertise with C#, .NET Framework/Core, Angular, and Oracle
- Strong Angular 15+ experience, including Reactive Forms, RxJS, Angular Material, and TypeScript
- Strong Domain-Driven Design (DDD) experience, including domain-model layering across application, service, and data-access tiers
- Hands-on CQRS experience within multi-service architectures
- Oracle database and PL/SQL development experience, including packages, procedures, views, and query optimization
- Entity Framework Core experience, including the Oracle EF Core provider
- 3+ years of Azure cloud experience
- Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline experience
- Strong automated testing experience, including tools such as xUnit/NUnit and Jasmine/Karma
- Proven ability to independently own feature delivery from requirements and Engineering Design Documents through implementation and release
- Hands-on experience with AI development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Devin.AI
- Strong client-facing communication skills

Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Principal Engineer – Application Engineering for a top enterprise software client. This candidate will join a small application development scrum team responsible for building new features and enhancing an enterprise equity management platform supporting a strategic client engagement. This is a highly hands-on, 100% individual contributor position requiring a senior engineer who can make an immediate impact across the full stack. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in C#/.NET, Angular, Oracle, Azure, Domain-Driven Design, and CQRS and can independently drive features from requirements and technical design through implementation and production release. This engineer will work closely with technical leadership, Product, QA, and client stakeholders while maintaining strong standards for testing, code quality, and production readiness. The team is also heavily focused on AI-first engineering, making hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools a key component of the role.
Day-to-Day:
- Own application features end-to-end, from requirements and Engineering Design Documents through development and production release
- Write and review production-quality full-stack code using C#/.NET, Angular, and Oracle
- Build and enhance functionality within the Certent Equity Management platform
- Participate in sprint planning, refinement, standups, demos, and retrospectives
- Work with the Lead Engineer to address cross-feature and cross-service dependencies
- Maintain high engineering standards around unit testing, code reviews, definition of done, and release readiness
- Use AI development tooling extensively in daily engineering workflows and help advance Spec Driven Development practices
- Support onboarding, troubleshooting, and issue resolution associated with approximately 50 client migrations in the near term
- Engage with client stakeholders for requirements clarification, design reviews, demos, and issue resolution
- Partner with Product Management, QA, Solution Architecture, Lead Engineers, and other Principal Engineers
- Identify and communicate technical blockers, scope concerns, and delivery risks early Develop scalable platform solutions rather than one-off, client-specific implementations
