Job Description
Insight Global is currently seeking an ITB Mining Specialist to join a client in the commercial construction industry. This individual will serve as a front-end opportunity qualification resource, mining BuildingConnected, email, shared ITB inboxes, and branch ITB inboxes to identify qualified commercial drywall opportunities for the estimating team. They will independently review construction drawings, specifications, and related documents to determine project size, confirm metal-framed versus wood-framed construction, identify applicable drywall scope, and determine whether an opportunity warrants estimator review, with the team generally targeting projects of approximately 50,000 square feet or larger. The ITB Mining Specialist will perform front-end document reviews to uncover requirements such as texture, composite cleanup, and other conditions that may create additional cost or project risk, while investigating discrepancies or missing information rather than simply forwarding invitations. When project size is unclear, they may use Bluebeam to perform rough square-foot takeoffs and will communicate relevant findings to estimators, ITB team members, and leadership. This person will manage a high volume of incoming opportunities while ensuring viable projects are not missed and enough qualified work remains available to support the continued growth of the estimating organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial drywall knowledge, critical thinking, attention to detail, independent judgment, and a collaborative, low-ego approach that allows them to contribute their experience while supporting and mentoring less-experienced teammates.
