Job Description

One of our customers is seeking an OEM Account Manager to service the Houston area. This person will own and grow an established portfolio of major OEM/Machine Builder accounts across Houston and Louisiana. This is not a brand-new territory. There are already strong, large enterprise accounts, including major Oil & Gas organizations, but this customer believes there is significant white space to penetrate further. This is a farmer + hunter role- they need someone who can strategically expand existing accounts into new business units and opportunities while also pursuing competitive conversions and new business. The role is heavily centered around the customers industrial hardware portfolio, including PLCs, drives, motors, motion, power and automation, with additional opportunities around simulation, engineering software, Digital Twin and digitalization.

Skills and Requirements

  • 8+ years of strategic technical/industrial sales experience, ideally managing complex enterprise accounts with a proven combination of farming + hunting o Oil & Gas sales experience, especially upstream/midstream, drilling, extraction, fracking/operators, or OEMs supporting those environments
  • Strong experience selling industrial automation/controls technology such as PLCs, drives, motors, motion, power or similar hardware-led solutions
  • Experience with both direct customer sales + distributor/channel partner sales, with the ability to sell from engineering/operations stakeholders through C-suite
  • Currently based in Houston with strong in-person relationship-building skills and comfortable traveling 50–60% throughout Houston/Louisiana
  • Oil & Gas sales experience, especially upstream/midstream, drilling, extraction, fracking/operators, or OEMs supporting those environments
  • OEM/Machine Builder experience and/or an established Houston Oil & Gas/industrial network
  • Experience with industrial software, simulation, engineering solutions, Digital Twin, or digitalization
  • Background with companies/environments such as Rockwell Automation, Honeywell, GE, automation OEMs, machine builders, industrial distributors/channel partners, or relevant Oil & Gas customers
