Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of hands-on network, field technician, or IT infrastructure experience. Strong Layer 1 networking experience, including cable tracing, testing, termination, and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with Ethernet/copper cabling and single-mode/multimode fiber. Experience with rack-and-stack, switches, routers, patch panels, and cable management. Foundational knowledge of the OSI model, TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, routing, DNS, and DHCP. Strong, methodical troubleshooting skills and ability to communicate effectively with end users

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience in enterprise campus, factory, manufacturing, or data center environments. Experience with Cisco networking equipment. CCNA certification or equivalent networking knowledge. Experience with network migrations, equipment refreshes, or infrastructure deployments.

Job Description

We are looking for a Network Technician / Network Support Engineer to provide hands-on network support across multiple locations in the Los Angeles area. This role is ideal for someone early in their networking career who has built a strong technical foundation and is ready to grow into a Network Engineering role. The primary focus will be supporting the physical layer of the network, including running and troubleshooting copper and fiber cabling, rack-and-stack activities, cable management, hardware installation, and connectivity troubleshooting. This person will also assist with basic switching, routing, Wi-Fi, and network incident support while partnering closely with more senior Network Engineers. The ideal candidate may have started their career as a field or network technician, developed strong hands-on infrastructure skills, and is now looking for an opportunity to take on more advanced networking responsibilities.

This position will primarily support locations throughout the Los Angeles area, with travel between multiple local offices as needed. Occasional travel to sites in New Mexico, Washington, DC, and other locations throughout the Southwestern United States may be required based on business needs. The role requires someone comfortable working directly with end users, operating independently when needed, and following a structured troubleshooting methodology rather than relying on trial-and-error problem solving.

This role is onsite in El Segundo. The position is an initial 6 month contract, with opportunity to convert. The hourly rate for this role ranges from $48-57/hr.
