Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Mobile Engineering Technician responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and operation of commercial and industrial building systems across multiple assigned sites. This position is primarily HVAC-focused and will work on systems up to 20 tons, including boilers, compressors, motors, pumps, refrigeration, cooling towers, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and fire/life-safety systems. Responsibilities include completing preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosing equipment issues, operating Building Management Systems (BMS), managing work orders through a CMMS, coordinating with vendors, and performing general maintenance such as carpentry and painting when needed.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of commercial HVAC maintenance experience, a strong understanding of mechanical and MEP systems, and the ability to independently troubleshoot and repair HVAC and related building equipment. The ideal candidate must have a valid driver’s license, be comfortable traveling between assigned facilities using a company vehicle, and be able to work safely in accordance with OSHA and company standards. EPA or Universal Certification is preferred.
