Job Description

The Mission Systems Engineer will support the development and analysis of next-generation space control systems throughout the full program lifecycle. This individual will build, maintain, and utilize mission engineering simulation and analysis tools to evaluate mission concepts, spacecraft performance, Rendezvous and Proximity Operations trajectories, and constellation architectures. They will apply orbital mechanics and astrodynamics to perform orbit propagation, orbit determination, trajectory analysis, maneuver optimization, parametric analyses, Monte Carlo studies, and system-level trade studies. The Mission Systems Engineer will work closely with subject-matter experts to ensure model fidelity and use analytical results to inform system architecture, CONOPS, mission requirements, and engineering decisions. They will also support hardware/software integration, mission testing, real-time spacecraft operations, mission risk assessments, and pre- and post-flight analysis, including trajectory reconstruction and anomaly investigations. This role is offering an hourly rate of $62-94/hr. This role will be on-site in Centennial, Colorado OR Long Beach, California. If this sounds like the role for you, please apply today!
