Mechanical Test Engineer

Insight Global is looking for a Mechanical Test Engineer. In this position you will perform a wide variety of product testing. These tests will either be standard with official procedures or, more often, custom test systems and designs created by you. You will be responsible for designing and building custom test fixtures that may include air cylinders, motors, timers, PLC’s and miscellaneous plumbing components to produce reliable and repeatable results. Products tested include chemical dispensers, PC Boards, and electromechanical assemblies and components.

Responsibilities:

• Construct test set-ups and fixtures
• Run tests and collect data
• Effectively communicate and summarize findings
• Set up, operate and maintain laboratory instruments

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ideally Mechanical, Chemical, Biochemical, Biomedical)
• 0-2 years of experience as an Engineer
• MS suite Excel experience
• Hands on project where they had to build something ○ Soldering welding, carpentry, robotics
• Exposure to coding/programming language (Python, Labview)
• CAD experience (Solidworks, Autocad)
• Statistical analysis experience ○ SAS, JMP, Minitab
• Any experience working with Data centers ○ Glycol or heating and cooling systems experience
