Mechanical Engineering Supervisor

Job Description

DAY TO DAY / OVERVIEW:

This position will support the design, validation, and delivery of liquid cooling distribution solutions at Vertiv. The role will contribute to both custom and NPDI projects while working globally with engineering teams, suppliers, and customers. The position requires a strong technical background in fluid systems and will focus on delivering designs that meet high standards for quality, accuracy, and manufacturability, while collaborating across different functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the design, validation, and delivery of liquid cooling distribution solutions
• Contribute to both custom engineering and NPDI projects
• Work with Technical Cooling Systems (TCS), Secondary Fluid Networks (SFN), and related piping/fluid systems
• Utilize Creo as part of the engineering/design work
• Work within a PLM-controlled product development environment
• Deliver engineering designs to high standards of quality, accuracy, and manufacturability
• Collaborate across functions and work globally with engineering teams, suppliers, and customers
• Manage engineering projects and help drive work through the product development process

Skills and Requirements

MUST HAVES:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering OR Mechanical Engineering OR ANY OTHER ENGINEERING DEGREE
• 7+ years of engineering experience within Liquid Cooling or HVAC/Thermal/Fluid Systems
• 3+ years of experience managing PROJECTS – they do NOT need 3+ years of people management/team leadership
• Strong technical background with Technical Cooling Systems (TCS), Secondary Fluid Networks (SFN), piping/fluid systems, or similar fluid systems
• AutoCad experience – Creo or SolidWorks/SolidEdge Preferred
• Experience working within a PLM-controlled product development environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
