Mechanic

Required Skills & Experience

• Education: GED or high school
• 1-2 years of preventative maintenance experience
• Clean MVR
• Experience with light- to medium-duty trucks and basic construction equipment (e.g., mini excavators, Vermeer HDD drills, small engines)
• Knowledge of basic wiring, lights, fuses, circuit breakers, brakes, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems, including the use of diagnostic equipment, and diagnostic flow and trouble trees.
• Ability to perform DOT inspections and complete required checklists Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• CDL Trade school experience

Job Description

Overview:

A client of ours is looking for a Mechanic to join their team in Indiana! The Mechanic Will travel to Team Fishel job sites in the area to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, DOT inspections, and repairs on light- to medium-duty trucks and construction equipment. The role is hands-on and field-based, working with equipment such as backhoes, excavators, HDD drills, and small engines.

Day to Day:

• Travel to job sites to perform his daily tasks
• Maintenance and repair of construction equipment including Backhoe, Excavator, Truck and HDD equipment
• Perform DOT inspections and complete required checklists Compliance with all state laws and requirements
