Required Skills & Experience
Hands-on manual machining experience in job shop environment (not production type background)
Experience with manual mills and lathes
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Machine setup experience
Experience working with tight tolerances
Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers Ability to calculate dimensions and measurements for parts
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience
Precision manufacturing background
Job Description
Insight Global is looking for an experienced Manual Machinist to support our client in Huntsville, AL. This individual will join the manufacturing operations team and should have strong hands-on experience with manual machining, including mills and lathes. We’re looking for someone who can read blueprints, perform machine setups, work to tight tolerances, and use precision measuring tools to produce high-quality parts.
