Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a High Voltage Technician to support the Operations & Maintenance team responsible for maintaining critical electrical distribution infrastructure across multiple facilities. This individual will perform preventative maintenance, switching operations, offline electrical testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment ranging from 480V through 138kV.
The technician will work on equipment including 138kV air switches, SF6 gas circuit breakers, transformers, 15kV switchgear, vacuum circuit breakers, 480V switchgear, and rackable circuit breakers. Responsibilities will also include executing LOTO procedures, reviewing one-line drawings and schematics, supporting planned outages, evaluating electrical testing results, and assisting with commissioning and acceptance of high-voltage equipment.
This is a highly safety-sensitive environment, so the successful candidate must be detail-oriented, dependable, technically capable, and comfortable working independently. Technicians will have a designated home site but may travel between supported facilities in a company vehicle depending on daily maintenance requirements. Overtime and weekend availability will be required based on outages and maintenance schedules.
