Job Description
This individual will be responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of a large distribution center, ensuring the building, grounds, and equipment remain safe, secure, and fully operational. Each day will typically begin with a property and building walkthrough using established checklists to identify issues such as leaks, damaged belts, lighting outages, equipment concerns, or other safety and maintenance needs. They will perform scheduled preventative maintenance, including testing generators, checking gauges and fluid levels, maintaining HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems. Throughout the day, they will troubleshoot and complete minor repairs across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and facility equipment. They will document preventative and predictive maintenance activities in the CMMS, monitor spare parts and tool inventory, and use maintenance diagnostic equipment such as digital/analog multimeters, pyrometers, and photo-tachometers when needed. This person will be expected to maintain clean and safe work areas, communicate or escalate equipment issues appropriately, and help ensure the distribution center continues operating safely and efficiently.
