8+ years writing presentation layer code for a responsive, high traffic, consumer facing website. 6+ Years of Responsive Web Design, JavaScript, JQuery, and CSS preferred. At least 5 years of working experience with React JS preferred and 3 years of Node JS and GraphQL preferred. Strong experience working with REST APIs, BFFs, microservices, and API-driven

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Job Description

Day to Day:

We are seeking a Lead Mobile App Developer to spearhead the architecture, development, and delivery of high-performing mobile applications. In this role, you will guide a talented engineering team through the entire mobile application lifecycle-from conceptualization and design to testing, deployment, and ongoing support. You will combine deep technical expertise in native or cross-platform mobile development with strong leadership to ensure clean code, high performance, and stellar user experiences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Experience: 8+ years of total software development experience, with at least 3–5 years focused specifically on mobile app development (iOS/Android) and 2+ years in a lead or mentorship capacity.
• Tech Stack: Proficiency in native development (Swift/Objective-C for iOS, Kotlin/Java for Android) or modern cross-platform frameworks (Flutter, React Native, or Capacitor).
• Architecture Knowledge: Strong command of mobile design patterns (MVC, MVVM, Clean Architecture) and enterprise concerns like offline caching, concurrency, and security.
• Tools & Testing: Hands-on experience with Git, Xcode, Android Studio, CI/CD automation tools, and automated testing frameworks (XCTest, JUnit, Jest).
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and project estimation abilities.
• Helping Tractor Supply evolve its mobile platform to support personalized, intelligent, and AI-enabled customer experiences.
• Partner with Data Science and other technology teams to integrate AI-powered and intelligent customer experiences into the mobile application.
• Evaluate new technologies and development practices that can improve customer experience and engineering productivity.
• Establish scalable patterns for integrating AI-driven services while maintaining security, privacy, performance, and reliability. Lead technical reviews, architecture discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
