Lab Tech

Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with electronics, embedded systems, or lab and test environments.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and build plans.
• Comfortable at the command line on Linux and macOS (SSH, basic scripting, logs, networking basics).
• Soldering, crimping, and cable assembly. Use of a multimeter and bench power supplies.
• A methodical approach to troubleshooting. Able to lift up to 40 lbs and work at a lab bench for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

An ideal candidate also has:

• Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, or debug tools such as J-Link.
• Familiarity with BLE, cellular, or GPS devices and firmware flashing tools.
• Experience with CI systems or test automation (Buildkite), Ansible, or basic Python and Bash.
• Rack and stack experience and lab networking knowledge (VLANs, DHCP).
