Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting Seven years’ experience in public accounting or the accounting department at a public company, including experience with SOX compliance and internal controls over financial reporting. Strong background in SOX compliance, IT General Controls (ITGCs) and IT controls testing Hands on experience with Workiva Experience with: SailPoint (highest priority), ServiceNow or Okta Strong knowledge of internal controls, financial reporting, general accounting, and risk assessment. Ability to assess complex business and technology changes, identify potential SOX implications, and develop practical recommendations. Strong analytical, strategic thinking, organizational, and project leadership skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence decisions and translate complex issues into clear guidance

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Master’s degree and/or CPA Big 4 auditing background

Job Description

A Fortune 500 company in Memphis, TN is looking for a Senior IT SOX Compliance Advisor. This individual will serve as the lead subject matter expert on the team and fill a critical gap left by a long-tenured employee who was with the organization for over 20 years. This role supports Financial Compliance governance, risk, and compliance processes as it relates to Sarbanes Oxley (SOX). Monitors and reports internal IT SOX compliance against external regulations and industry standards. Independently performs risk assessments, oversight, enforcement, and reporting activities to meet regulatory and legal IT SOX compliance requirements. Provides recommendations to highly complex issues and to internal stakeholders. Collaborates with SOX external auditors and internal stakeholders. Preparing SOX compliance-related documentation and reports.
