Job Description

This Project Manager will support a statewide technology initiative serving more than 3,600 local entities, acting as a primary liaison between technical teams, cybersecurity vendors, and local stakeholders. The role is responsible for building strong relationships with municipalities and local organizations, helping them understand available technology and security tools, guiding them through request processes, and ensuring successful adoption. This individual will partner closely with security vendors to gather technical information, coordinate communications, answer stakeholder questions, and help local entities understand the value, requirements, and implementation approach for cybersecurity solutions. The Project Manager will also work alongside technical engineers to develop and execute rollout schedules that deliver tools efficiently while balancing the needs of numerous customers and concurrent workstreams. A strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including Managed Detection and Response (MDR), endpoint detection, threat intelligence, and network security, is required to effectively advise stakeholders and facilitate informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will coordinate cross-functional efforts between vendors, engineers, program leadership, and local IT contacts to ensure projects remain on schedule and aligned with program goals. Success in this role requires exceptional communication, attention to detail, relationship-building skills, and the ability to professionally represent the organization in a highly visible, customer-facing environment.
