INTL - Remote React Front End Engineer - LATAM

Required Skills & Experience

MUST HAVE:

5+ years of React, NextJS, end to end development, pushed a full web application Node.js Express (or Kraken/Director) and JavaScript Dust.js or Vue.js, or Mustache, or Backbone Extensive accessibility experience with either WCAG 2.0 or A11y Solid experience with SQL and relational database design. Expertise in RESTful services, API development, and integrations using APIGEE, nginx, and JSON. Working knowledge of Apache Kafka for building event-driven architectures and integrating microservices. Any caching tool experience (Kafka is plus, Redis also fine) Someone who knows how a web application component works for better performance CI/CD Pipeline experience (GITlab preferred) DataDog/Splunk or comparable too Excellent communication, collaborative strategic developer Someone who has developed for customer profiles and booking Understanding of how to speed up an application for maximum efficiency

Job Description

This front end developer will be working for a global hotel company on a Global call center application that the call center individuals will use to pull up guest profiles when they are booking a hotel reservation. The application is connected from 20 back end applications, all feeding into this app.

Responsibilities will include:

Enhance and maintain a customer-facing application used by global call center teams to access guest profiles and support reservation bookings. Develop and optimize front-end features in a complex environment with both a legacy Dust.js/Express application and a modern React redesign. Improve application performance, usability, and scalability, particularly around customer/member profile experiences. Build and enhance reusable React components while supporting ongoing maintenance of the legacy platform. Collaborate with backend teams whose services integrate data from more than 20 connected applications. Troubleshoot production issues, implement enhancements, and ensure a seamless user experience across both applications. Participate in the continued modernization effort, helping migrate functionality from the legacy application to the newer React-based platform. Write clean, maintainable JavaScript and Node.js code while working with custom internal frameworks for routing, animations, and other front-end functionality.
