Job Description

Daily Responsibilities: A client is looking for an Intelligent Automation Architect to own the architecture and standards behind its growing intelligent automation program. This role is more design than build. The architect decides how each use case should be solved: UiPath, Power Platform, Copilot or agents, or a combination. They then design the solution against the team's North Star architecture and guide engineers through delivery. They need to be technical enough to code, build POCs and review the engineers' work, not just draw diagrams. They're also accountable for getting solutions production-ready securely. That covers PHI/PII handling, governance, DevOps structure, code scanning, vulnerability and pen testing, capacity planning and hypercare. This person sets the standard the engineers build to as RPA, copilots and agentic AI come together.

  • Set direction: Define target-state architecture, reference patterns, technical standards and roadmaps for automation and AI.
  • Pick the right tool: Decide between UiPath, Power Platform, Copilot Studio and agentic AI based on the use case.
  • Design solutions: Turn business requirements into solution architectures, integrations, nonfunctional requirements and delivery plans.
  • Lead technical sessions: Run discovery sessions, architecture workshops, design reviews and production-readiness assessments.
  • Stay hands-on: Build POCs and guide engineers without being the primary developer on every solution.
  • Protect the data: Design for PHI/PII, identity and access, security scanning, vulnerability management and pen testing.
  • Run production: Own governance, DevOps structure, capacity planning, deployment, operational handoff and hypercare.
  • Scale delivery: Build reusable components and patterns, and manage architectural risks, dependencies and design decisions.
  • Measure success: Define success criteria and track adoption and outcomes with business, security, infrastructure and product teams.
