Install Technician

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Installation Technician to support a client in the Fort Myers, FL area. This individual will report to a designated client site and assist with the installation and setup of low-voltage infrastructure and equipment for ongoing projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working with cabling systems, equipment installations, and basic electrical or low-voltage environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Run, route, and secure low-voltage cabling in commercial or industrial environments.
• Install and terminate network, communication, and equipment cabling as required.
• Connect and configure equipment to ensure proper functionality and communication.
• Verify equipment is receiving adequate power and troubleshoot basic connectivity or power issues.
• Follow project drawings, installation standards, and safety procedures.
• Assist with testing, labeling, and documenting installed systems.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at the client site.
• Collaborate with project teams to complete installations on schedule.

Skills and Requirements

GED or High School diploma Low voltage experience Knowledge of how to run cable Experience with Cat5
