Epic HB Contracts analyst

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of Epic Hospital Billing (HB) analyst experience
• Epic Resolute Hospital Billing Administration (HB Admin) Certification
• Epic Hospital Billing Contracts Certification
• Experience supporting Single Billing Office (SBO) environments
• Strong understanding of hospital revenue cycle operations, reimbursement methodologies, claims processing, and payer contracts
• Experience with Epic reporting tools, including SlicerDicer
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent healthcare IT experience

Job Description

We are seeking an Epic HB Contracts Analyst with at least 3 years of Epic Revenue Cycle experience to support the design, build, maintenance, and optimization of Hospital Billing (HB) reimbursement contracts and related revenue cycle workflows. This individual will work closely with Revenue Cycle, Contracting, Managed Care, and IT teams to ensure accurate reimbursement modeling, contract configuration, reporting, and system optimization within Epic.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize Epic HB payer contracts and reimbursement methodologies
• Translate payer contract language into Epic contract build and configuration
• Support contract modeling, testing, validation, and reimbursement analysis
• Develop reports and dashboards using Epic reporting tools and SlicerDicer
• Troubleshoot contract, billing, and reimbursement issues
• Partner with Revenue Cycle, Managed Care, and Contracting teams on contract updates and system enhancements
• Support SBO workflows and Epic HB optimization initiatives
• Document build specifications, workflows, and testing results
• Participate in system upgrades, implementations, and ongoing support activities
