Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Revit Structural Designer – Pipe Supports for a top engineering and high-tech infrastructure client. This individual will support structural design and Revit modeling for complex industrial facilities with a strong emphasis on pipe supports and structural systems surrounding process piping and utilities. The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of experience and previous exposure to semiconductor/chip fabs, data centers, oil & gas, power generation, or other process-piping-intensive environments.
- Develop detailed Revit Structural models with an emphasis on structural systems supporting process piping and utilities
- Model pipe supports, structural steel, concrete, and related structural components for highly technical industrial facilities
- Support new construction and renovation projects within semiconductor, data center, manufacturing, energy, and other process-intensive facilities
- Prepare structural drawings, plans, sections, details, and schedules from Revit models
- Receive sketches, markups, redlines, and engineering direction from Structural Engineers and translate them into accurate Revit models
- Coordinate pipe-support and structural designs around complex process piping and utility routing
- Work closely with Piping, Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Plumbing, and other disciplines to ensure coordinated designs
- Use Navisworks and 3D laser-scanned point clouds to support existing-condition modeling, routing, and clash detection
- Perform initial Revit model setup and incorporate new designs into existing facility models
- Coordinate with BIM/CAD support teams to maintain consistent modeling and documentation standards
