Engineering Business Manager

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Mgt, or related
• 7-10+ years of experience within engineering pertaining to design, specification's, bidding, and technical reports
• Experience or interest of business development within an engineering capacity
• PE License Ability for 40-50% domestic travel

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Consulting Sales experience in related industry
• Experience with local DOTs

Job Description

A client of Insight Global's is looking for an Engineering Business Manager to join their team on a remote basis. This individual must live within the state of Florida as they will spearhead this market in business development, marketing, sales, profitability, and overall product development for geotextiles and erosion control products. Overall, this individual will be the "face" to engineers, regulatory agencies, distribution customers, the contracting community, and the transportation industry as whole. This individual will work remotely but will be traveling up to a max of 50% travel. A typical day could entail doing promotions for the company, driving business by meeting engineers, conducting lunch presentations, and creating business plans for key influencers.
