Job Description
We're moving to self-service, where application teams provision and deploy through golden-path templates and guardrails instead of waiting on a DevOps ticket. This engineer owns the integration and automation layer that connects our operational tools. The anchor is end-to-end traceability, from ServiceNow intake through Jira and Azure DevOps to the deployment record, and the audit evidence that comes with it. You'll build the services, APIs, workflows and lightweight self-service front ends that let teams use the platform without a hand-off, and you'll be ready to contribute to in-house application builds as the full-stack team grows. What you'll do
- Integrations. Own the ServiceNow ↔ Azure DevOps ↔ Jira integration after the initial traceability build: status sync, change and deployment record linkage, error handling, monitoring and runbooks. Keep intake-to-deployment traceability at 100%.
- Audit evidence. Build and maintain automated audit evidence generation, so every governed deployment produces its own compliance record. Help clean up and prevent orphan deployments.
- Observability automation. Integrate Datadog alerts and events with ServiceNow and ADO (webhooks, auto-ticketing, escalation automation) in partnership with Operations.
- Self-service tooling. Design and build the shared services automation catalog: backend services and APIs plus simple web front ends that let teams request and run approved automations on their own.
- Full-stack delivery. Write and test application code (Python, C#/.NET or TypeScript), REST APIs, Azure Functions and Logic Apps, and the CI/CD pipelines and Terraform that deploy them. You ship what you build and support it in production.
- Platform contribution. Contribute to golden-path pipeline templates and guardrails for integration and API workloads, following the team's pipeline governance and IaC standards.
- Reporting. Produce leadership-ready compliance and automation summaries from pipeline, ServiceNow and Jira data.
- Team. Work in the team's swim-lane model, and partner with Infrastructure, ITSM, Security and the Architecture Review Board.
