Required Skills & Experience

Hands-on PC and desktop hardware troubleshooting experience Knowledge of Windows operating systems Familiarity with Active Directory Strong general end-user troubleshooting skills Experience supporting computer components, peripherals, and accessories Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Familiarity with a ticketing system such as ServiceNow Ability to read technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides Strong written, verbal, email, documentation, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Ability to adjust to changing priorities throughout the workday Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Good driving record

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an Entry-Level Desktop Support Technician to join a large utility client’s Client Support team onsite. This individual will serve as a primary point of contact for end users experiencing desktop, hardware, printer, mobile device, and audiovisual issues. Support will be provided in person, remotely, over the phone, and through email.

The technician will install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade PC hardware and equipment to ensure reliable workstation performance. This person will also configure and troubleshoot network printers and multifunction devices, maintain technical documentation, and provide audiovisual support for company events. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can work independently, collaborate with a team, and adjust priorities throughout the day.
