Job Description
Insight Global is looking to hire an Databricks Enterprise Architect (Data & Employee Systems) to support a DHS program focused on modernizing and streamlining employee data. This individual will serve as a senior technical leader responsible for designing the Databricks data lake architecture, establishing the structure and governance needed to maintain it, and helping standardize and cleanse employee data across the organization. The goal is to create a centralized, reliable employee data environment that gives analysts consistent, clean data for reporting and supports OCHCO’s long-term data and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architecture Design: Design end-to-end data architecture for employee data (HR, payroll, benefits, performance, etc.) on Databricks, including data Lakehouse structure, pipelines, and governance layers.
- Policy & Standards Translation: Convert company policy (e.g., data privacy, retention, access control) and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2, HIPAA where relevant) into concrete technical architecture and data models.
- Business Logic Implementation: Partner with HR, Legal, and business stakeholders to encode business rules (eligibility, compensation logic, org hierarchy, etc.) directly into the data architecture.
- Governance & Security: Define data access controls, lineage tracking, and audit mechanisms using Databricks Unity Catalog or equivalent governance tools.
- Platform Leadership: Set best practices for Databricks usage across the organization - including Delta Lake, workflows, cluster management, and cost optimization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with data engineers, security teams, HR systems owners, and compliance officers to ensure the architecture meets both technical and regulatory needs.
- Documentation & Roadmap: Maintain architecture diagrams, data dictionaries, and a roadmap for evolving the employee data platform.
Compensation:
$76.73/hr to $81.73/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
