Data Scientist

Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of professional experience in a Data Science role focused on mathematial optimization such as linear programming (LP), mixed-integer linear programming (MILP), quadratic programming (QP), or mixed-integer quadratic programming (MIQP)
• Hands-on experience with Gurobi highly preferred, similar experience with a commercial optimization platform will be considered (IBM ILOG CPLEX, FICO Xpress, Hexaly, LocalSolver, MOSEK, or COPT Cardinal Optimizer)
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
• Experience working with GCP and Vertex AI for Machine Learning (ML) model development
• Experience with version control (Git) and image requests

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Healthcare or PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Manager) experience, particularly project experience related to drug pricing or pricing optimization
• Experience with Claude Code or other AI-assisted development platforms
• Exposure to agentic development or AI agent workflows

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking Data Scientists to join a large healthcare organization supporting its Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) business. This team is focused on developing and enhancing pricing models for reseller clients.

In this role, you will work hands-on with existing Gurobi-based linear optimization models, strengthening current model components while building new production-ready pricing models. Responsibilities will include developing MVPs, testing and troubleshooting models, and helping establish the foundation for future pricing capabilities.

You will work with Python, SQL, Gurobi, GCP, and Vertex AI within an Agile squad environment with weekly team check-ins. The initial contract runs through the end of January, with a high possibility of extension based on performance and project needs.
