Data Center Technician (Roanoke, TX)

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience in data center, telecom, or structured cabling environments
• Hands-on work with: ○ Rack-and-stack installs ○ Copper termination ○ Pre-manufactured fiber install, cleaning, testing (NO splicing required)
• Ability to work under direction in onsite environments
• Reliability for short-duration project coverage
• Basic understanding of infrastructure hardware (servers, racks, cabling)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• 1–3 years data center technician experience
• Experience supporting multiple sites or rotating assignments
• Familiarity with fiber testing tools
• Prior telecom or structured cabling background
• Experience in fast-paced upgrade / migration environments

Job Description

• Rack-and-stack server and network equipment installs
• Running, cleaning, and testing pre-terminated fiber
• Copper termination and structured cabling work
• Supporting site upgrades and capacity expansion
• Assisting senior technicians during deployments
• Moving between Roanoke and Dallas sites as needed
• General physical layer troubleshooting and cable management
