COPY - Tax Manager

Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Insight Global's biotech/investment management firm client is looking to bring a Tax Manager to their staff in Radford, VA, due to an influx of clientele on both the personal and commercial side of the business. This individual will be joining a team of two other Tax Managers, and support them in estate/tax planning, quarterly estimated payments, and basis tracking.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review corporate, partnership, trust, and individual income tax returns
• Perform partnership income tax accounting and related financial reporting for investment funds
• Maintain general ledgers and complete intercompany reconciliations for multiple entities
• Manage and maintain fixed asset records
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
• Support internal and external audits as needed
• Assist with process improvements and tax-related initiatives Potentially doing personal tax work for owner and CEO

Skills and Requirements

MUST HAVES:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field of study
• 7+ years of experience in related field (can be flexible, 1-2 years less)
• Understanding of tax code and the technological aspects of tax preparation and compliance
• Experience managing multiple projects or engagements
• Active CPA license
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics Corporate and Personal tax experience
