COPY - Senior Analytics Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer for a top enterprise client. This candidate will lead the development of scalable analytics models, semantic layers, and governed metrics that enable trusted business decision-making. They will define modeling standards, implement testing and documentation frameworks, and partner closely with stakeholders to ensure analytical solutions deliver measurable business value. The ideal candidate brings strong SQL expertise, deep experience with dbt, and a passion for creating reusable, well-governed analytics assets that improve consistency and trust across the organization.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of analytics, business intelligence, or data experience
• Strong SQL proficiency
• Experience owning and delivering complex analytical models
• Experience with governed analytics delivery practices
• Advanced analytics modeling and semantic layer expertise
• Strong stakeholder communication and partnership skills
• Mentorship and technical review experience
• Deep experience with dbt Cloud or dbt Core and Git integration
• Experience implementing enterprise-wide metric governance programs
• Experience building and maintaining semantic layers
• Experience with lineage, documentation, and change management practices
• Experience developing reusable macros and shared dbt packages
