Contracting and Strategy Analyst

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Healthcare-related field
• 1-2+ years of experience, but open to entry-level for the right fit
• Advanced Excel: macros, Power Pivot, Power Query
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, and financial data analysis skills
• Experience analyzing large structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Experience with BI/reporting tools, specifically Power BI and Power Automate
• Strong written/verbal communication and attention to detail/accuracy Strong project management skills with ability to manage projects through completion

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• 1+ year of retail pharmacy and/or PBM experience and familiarity with the pharmacy/PBM industry
• Third-party payer contracting experience, including payer agreement and reimbursement analysis
• Experience with 340B, DIR, contracting pricing, reconciliation, and/or profitability audits
• Experience analyzing vendor/manufacturer proposals
• Discount card program experience Experience with Alteryx System

Job Description

Kroger Health is seeking a Contracting & Strategy Analyst to support contracting and strategy analytics across the organization. This individual will analyze payer agreements, reimbursement, pricing, profitability, and pharmacy-related contracting data to identify financial opportunities and risks.

• Build standard and automated reports for contracting reimbursement and strategic initiatives
• Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities
• Build complex financial models to support business decisions
• Pull and analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
• Analyze payer agreements, vendor/manufacturer proposals, and contracting profitability
• Support analysis around 340B, discount cards, DIR, pricing, and reconciliation
• Create Power BI visualizations and recurring reports
• Utilize Alteryx as part of data analysis/reporting
• Communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders
• Partner cross-functionally on reporting and analysis projects Complete ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed
