Job Description
The Cloud Infrastructure Land Development & Community (LDC) organization is responsible for delivering datacenter campus sites to a condition ready for permanent works to support construction of Data Centers. We are looking for a passionate, high-energy individual to oversee the execution of pre-construction work, encompassing the combined role of Construction Project Manager – Project Safety Advisor. Proposed site sites include the relocation of an existing groundwater treatment facility and associated monitoring wells and subsurface infrastructure. The site is subject to a RCRA Consent order, issued by the Environmental Protection Agency and enforced by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (VDEQ). The client has obtained approval from the VDEQ to execute the relocation of existing groundwater treatment facilities on site, including relocation of an existing NOVEC electric distribution line, as relocation is required to develop the proposed datacenters.
The Early Works On-Site Project Lead oversees the planning, compliance, and progress of the Groundwater Treatment Facility Relocation General Contractor. He or she will oversee the day-to-day activities in the field for onsite execution of the Groundwater Treatment Facility Relocation, comprising a wide variety of unique requirements favoring civil specialties including site earthworks, groundwater remediation, and compliance.
The Project Lead will monitor the contractor’s implementation of the Site-Specific Safety Plan. All projects will involve the management of significant High-Risk Activities (HRA) both on individual sites and cumulatively across all the project works. Primary risks will include, but not be limited to excavations, mobile equipment, vehicle traffic, material handling, lifting activities, electrical, and working from heights.
