Required Skills & Experience
-open to recent grad from cnc school but prefer 2+ years exp on CNC lathe -Education/Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent -exp operating or setting up and operating CNC lathes. If they don’t have exp setting up, we can have someone else do it for them -used micrometers/bore gauges, heigh gauges, etc. -know basics of GD&T
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-CNC-Mills -Understanding of CNC G Code -Understanding of basic Math, Geometry and Trigonometry -Excellent teamwork skills
Job Description
The CNC Machinist produces machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records and maintaining equipment and supplies.
Essential Functions:
-Understand work orders, blueprints, manufacturing orders, and machining parameters -Validate material used -Maintain specifications; Troubleshoot, detect malfunctions and take appropriate actions; Know when to replace worn tools -Listen to machining operation in order to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and compensate for problems -Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments, templates, fixtures and knowledge of GDT standards -Maintain continuity among shifts by documenting and communicating actions taken thus far as well as any necessary further steps -Any other task assigned by supervisor or management
Non-Essential Functions:
-Maintain conscientious work behaviors including work ethic, safety standards, quality, costs, and On-Time Delivery (OTD)
Onsite Monday-Friday 4:00pm-1:30am.
We are open to paying a sign-on bonus up to 5k to relocate someone outside of the Bay area. New hires as also eligible for a $1000 sign-on bonus.
0-2 years exp= level I= 27-31/hr + 10% shift differential
2-5 years exp- Level II= 34-39/hr + 10% shift differential
6+ years exp= Level III= 40-46/hr + 10% shift differential
