Cloud Migration Engineer

Required Skills & Experience

Our customer is hiring a Azure Cloud Migration Engineer to continue to help with the companies Azure Migration priorities. This resource will be a hands on engineer who works directly with external and internal customers to plan and execute the Azure Cloud Migrations from End-to-end, working with USON Practices translating business requirements into working technical solutions and driving workloads to production. This role requires deep hands on Azure Experience. You will be charged at getting 80 servers off prem and into Azure.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Azure Administrator (AZ-104)
• Migration tooling experience (Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, Azure DMS)
• Azure DevOps, Azure Monitor/observability tooling
• Prior forward-deployed, or embedded consulting role
• Healthcare industry experience (HIPAA-regulated workloads, PHI handling) - optional but a plus

Job Description

• 5+ years of hands-on Azure engineering - mandatory; candidates must demonstrate direct build/migrate/operate experience in Azure, not just exposure through multi-cloud or advisory roles- including hands on exp with Dependency mapping and creating and designing landing zones
• Experience with at least two Azure migration patterns: VM lift-and-shift (Azure Migrate/ASR), containerization (AKS), database migration (Azure DMS, Azure SQL/Managed Instance), or app modernization (App Service)
• Azure networking and identity fundamentals: VNet design, hybrid connectivity (ExpressRoute/VPN), Entra ID, RBAC Strong experience communicated the benefits of moving to Cloud to non technical customers
