Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of Biomedical Equipment Technician / Clinical Engineering experience. Experience supporting a wide variety of medical equipment in hospital or healthcare environments. Familiarity with MAC addresses, networking, and connected medical devices. Comfortable communicating with medical-device manufacturers and vendors. Able to work independently and exercise sound judgment when working with unfamiliar equipment.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Networking, IoMT, or Network+ experience is a plus.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) to support a medical-device cybersecurity and inventory project across hospital and ambulatory locations. The primary focus will be identifying, collecting, and documenting MAC addresses and network information for medical devices to improve inventory accuracy and support future IoMT network segmentation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Collect and document MAC addresses and network information from medical equipment. Work independently across clinical locations to locate and validate device information. Safely navigate medical devices without altering configurations or factory settings. Contact manufacturers/vendors when needed to obtain device or network information. Maintain accurate device inventory records and escalate issues when appropriate. Potentially support additional IoMT network segmentation and cybersecurity initiatives. May assist with standard BMET service calls and tickets depending on project needs.
