Required Skills & Experience

• BS in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related technical field
• 2+ years of analysis, modeling & simulation o Experience building models, entities, scenarios, and behaviors within AFSIM
• Scripting or programming experience
• Active TS Clearance with SCI eligibility

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• MS in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related field
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Experience using STK, Python, C++, R, or JMP
• Familiarity with U.S. and foreign military systems
• Experience supporting operational analysis, force design, capability assessments, or DoD studies

Job Description

One of our customers is seeking an AFSIM Modeler to sit in Reston VA. This individual will support advanced defense modeling, simulation, and analysis efforts focused on emerging military technologies and capability assessments. They will construct and enhance military systems, entities, and behaviors within AFSIM, developing realistic operational scenarios that accurately model actions, reactions, and interactions across complex missions. The role will involve collaborating closely with military SMEs, pilots, technologists, and engineers to translate real-world requirements into simulation environments. The candidate will contribute to study planning, scenario development, model implementation, simulation execution, and analysis of results while supporting customer-driven assessments used by DoD decision makers. They will also work alongside software development teams to improve modeling and simulation capabilities, build new analytic solutions, and present study findings to stakeholders.
