Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Accounting Analyst to join the Government Rates team of one of our clients. This individual will support project accounting, timekeeping, and labor distribution activities across an organization of approximately 11,000 employees. This team supports government contract-related accounting and is currently balancing year-end priorities, a backlog of transactional work, process improvements, and the implementation of a new HRIS system. The Accounting Analyst will help maintain day-to-day operations while supporting these broader initiatives. The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of accounting, project accounting, payroll, labor distribution, or similar experience and is comfortable performing highly detailed, repetitive work. This person does not need to be an expert in the client's systems but should be technically savvy and able to learn new platforms quickly. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, maturity, and discretion due to access to sensitive payroll and employee information. The individual should also be comfortable working independently, collaborating across departments, and recognizing when an issue needs to be escalated to a Senior Analyst.
Responsibilities
Support weekly project and timekeeping maintenance, including removing closed Oracle projects from Rippling. Process department change requests through the Jira queue. Monitor timekeeping support channels, resolve routine employee questions, and escalate complex issues when appropriate. Send pay-period timecard submission reminders and follow up with employees who have not submitted timecards. Perform first-pass reviews of timecard and labor correction requests for completeness and supporting documentation. Support project accounting and labor distribution activities across the organization. Compile supporting documentation for DCAA and PwC audit sample requests. Assist with month-end close activities as needed. Fulfill ad hoc labor reporting requests from Finance by pulling and formatting data by project, employee, or reporting period. Perform detailed manual data entry and transactional accounting work accurately and efficiently. Build productive relationships with employees and teams across different departments and levels of the organization. Support backlog reduction, process improvements, and HRIS implementation efforts.
